Meet the one and only Ann Arbor local on the trip! If you need tips for restaurants and bars in your new home, Laura’s your girl. If you get in trouble with the police, she’s also your girl. When Laura decided to come to school, she thought an MBA wasn’t enough, so she decided to get a law degree. At the same time! Oh, and did I mention she went to Harvard for undergrad? I know what you’re thinking and you’re right – out of all the trek leaders, she’s the smart one (thank god, cause we’ll probably need it). She’s also the person you want on your team when a one-hour hike turns into a four-hour journey with a shotgun. Don’t worry, we’ll tell the story on MTrek.
At Ross, Laura basically runs everything real estate and hangs out in Detroit, where she worked before Ross, with the Revitalization & Business club. In her free time, she likes to travel around Michigan, cook whole turkeys, drink bourbon with Meghan, run all around Ann Arbor, sometimes play classical piano, and recruit for investment banking jobs (yes, you read that right). If you’re a person with a big appetite, you’re in luck. Laura has a condition that prevents her from cooking for herself – so every time she cooks, she cooks for others. Once we’re back in A2, reunions are at Laura’s. (Thanks, Laura!)
