Brunch with your new best friends for life before heading back to Ann Arbor.
Jess came to business school after realizing that her liberal arts education had left her with zero real-life skills (see: backwards Ross flag above). So far her greatest accomplishments at Ross have been winning the MBgAy drag show and getting chosen for BUS crew… so things are going pretty well. Jess is among the most easy going people you’ll ever meet, but don’t let that Midwestern charm fool you. She is New Jersey born and New York bred and will be the enforcer when everyone (read: Rome) is late for tours due to hangovers.
You can find Jess dancing on elevated surfaces at any of Ann Arbor’s fine establishments and tricking people into doing one more fireball shot than they should. She didn’t earn her section superlative of “Most Likely to Help you Get into Mischief” for nothing. Come to her to figure out the best way to sneak into the VIP section at Yacht Week or for a pep talk on how you can fail miserably at all things quant but still pass the Ross core.
Kyra is the Beyonce of the Stephen M. Ross School of Business. Almost too fabulous for B school, she will up your instagram credibility by an order of magnitude. Be prepared for other tourists to bombard her with photo requests. Equally at home on a factory floor or in the hottest spot you’ve never heard of.
As our resident Tauber, Kyra will optimize our logistics and as our resident yogi and earth-person she will optimize our energy. The organization and brains behind this trek, Kyra is the kind of person who you actually want in charge of your most important Ross experience.
Wanderer. Lover. Ronin. A man has no name… but you can call him Rome. After working 5 years in gray cubicles, Rome decided to leave his life behind for the opportunity to turn up for 2 years, meet new people, and make a f*ckton more money (in a different gray cubicle). Born and raised in Cambridge, this one man wolfpack discovered Winson dancing for tips in front of Quincy Market and on the subways in Boston. At Ross, he met the rest of his wolfpack on an uncanny venture in Southeast Asia where they witnessed both great and terrible things.
Rome is the only Rosser who can beat you in a rap battle and recite from memory obscure comic book dialogue that you’ve never heard of. Though he looks like your estranged uncle in the photo above, he is actually a kid at heart. The kid that sneaks out of school at lunch. Now, he’s ready to make sure you have the time of your life with the squad in Croatia.
From just north of Boston born and raised, on the playground was where Winson spent most of his days… If you’re looking for comedic references and witty one-liners, he’ll hit you wit it. Before Ross, Winson used his expert quant skills from the insurance industry to disprove allegations of Tom Brady’s involvement in Deflategate. And there’s nothing he does without going 0 to 100, real quick, like blowing up Groupme’s with the nightly plan for raging during orientation, submitting resumes for 500 job postings, or straight up sleeping like a G. When he’s not overtly talking about his affinity for a career in “growth strategies” or pretending to be OK with being called the wrong name (like Winston, Wilson, or Windows), rest assured he guarantees that you’ll have a blast exploring the best local cuisine and starting a dance battle at the club like you’re in the movie You Got Served!
As the trek’s mastermind, Parker has worked tirelessly to delegate any and all planning responsibilities to Kyra. Parker was born in upstate New York in a county (Chenango) with more cows than people and comes to Ross from Chicago, where he worked in insurance. He is looking forward to applying his risk management skills to this trek (that is a joke – Kyra is in charge).
His sharp wit and devilish good looks are surpassed only by his infectious sense of humor. Seriously, he will laugh at anything. Anytime. Loudly and inappropriately, in class. With the Best Laugh of Loveland High School, 2007, he has earned his way into the hearts of many a Rosser. A sucker for architecture, ancient ruins, wineries, and all the finer things in life, Parker will ensure you get your share of cultural excursions and alcoholic beverages.
