Lis-bon up PortuGuys and Gals, this is im-Port-ant. As you can probably portu-guess, this trip is venturing to the majestic and magical country of Portugal, home of port wine. We’ll eat, drink, and port-y our way down the Portuguese coast from Porto to Lisbon then to Lagos, stopping along the way for funtivities like wine tasting, hiking, food sampling, clubbing, boat cruising, and sunbathing. Because this is business school, we’ll incorporate some action-based learning opportunities – like learning about the nuances of grape stomping and realizing that Portuguese is not at all Spanish. Lisbehonest, this will be the best 10 days of your life.

Do you like to sweat while being active outdoors but not while drinking in hot, smelly clubs? Well then, this trip is for you!  If not, maybe you’d like to check out an Ibiza trek.

Here’s the Cliff notes version: Wine. Hiking. Waterfalls. Meat. Or not (if you’re like Andy). Mountains.

We’ll start our adventure in Santiago experiencing Chilean culture. We hear the city has top-flight restaurants, a renovated arts scene and gorgeous hillside parks—what more could you want? We’ll then traverse the Andes to visit wineries in Mendoza and attempt to pair the perfect wine with authentic Argentine asado (that’s barbecue-style food—yum). After we’ve mastered the art of wine tasting and pairing, we will end the trip exploring the largest waterfall system in the world.  Along the way, we’ll seek answers to life’s greatest questions.  Can you successfully drink Malbec from a Camelback? Should we invent a CaMalbec for that purpose? How do you pronounce Iguazu correctly? What Argentinian bird is bigger than a chicken? Is this the best MTrek to start your MBA career? The answer to the last question is obviously yes.

Welcome to a trip around the world of wonders, home of the big 5 game and one of the natural wonders of the world! If you answered yes to any of these questions, this is the trek for you! Come join 5 section 6-ers on an epic journey through one of South America’s best kept secrets. Get ready to get your adrenaline fix biking down (down being the operative word) the world’s most dangerous road, snap some epic photos on the stunning salt flats, kick it with the likes of flamingos, parrots, spider monkeys, and white lipped peccary, whatever those are, and get schooled at slap cup against the backdrop of a jungle symphony produced by a variety of nocturnal animals. The trip will culminate in a visit to the famed Lake Titicaca, which was funny in third grade, and is even funnier now. Just think how many likes you’ll get on Facebook.

Start off your Ross experience in Turkey, a land truly at the crossroad of civilizations, with Shish Kebaby One More Time, an MTrek melding breathtaking culture and staggering nightlife. We begin in Istanbul, the ‘Gateway Between East and West,’ exploring historical wonders, such as the famous Hagia Sophia and Blue Mosque, dynamic bazaars, including the Grand Bazaar itself, an epic nightlife scene, a banging Bosphorus booze cruise, and scrumtrulescent foodstuffs that manage to tickle all five senses. Nightly doner runs are just the beginning. After getting our fill of the ordered chaos that is all at once a modern metropolis, historical remnant, and pulsing national hub, we leave the city for the historical and natural wonders of Antalya, where we will explore Greek and Roman ruins, a Middle Age castle, spectacular cascades, and one of the finest silky smooth, white sand beaches in Eurasia. And take another boat trip, because why not? After replenishing our tans, and further bonding night-bus style, we head off to balloon our way over Cappadocia, and traverse the World Heritage-listed Goreme monastic complex and structurally impressive ‘Love Valley.’ With Vietnam, Cuba, and Ireland MTrek veterans taking the lead, you’re guaranteed to be in capable hands for your first formative experience of the next two years.
