Need an active trip to bridge the gap between school and the summer spent watching Netflix on your parents’ couch? Interested in hiking, climbing, and cooking your way through Italy? Always wanted to conquer the Italian Alps then wine and dine those calories back with delicious Italian food? Perfect, we have the trek for you! We’ll spend our trek alternating between moderate physical activity because we’re go-getters, relaxing because we’ve earned it, and partying because obviously. ALPINE-ing for a GOOD TIME will give you an introduction to b-school by getting you in shape for MBA games, prepping your livers for happy hours at Skeeps, and giving you stories you can brag about to your new sectionmates. This 10-day trip will see us hiking through the Italian rocky rooftops of the Dolomite mountains, drinking delicious wine, cooking dinner with an Italian chef, and dancing our nights away in Florence. In between, we’ll be sure to laugh, share stories, eat gelato, and immerse ourselves in la bella vita.
Your fearless leaders had an epic trip to Montenegro last year as part of their MTrek experience, and are excited and dedicated to making your MTrek experience in Italy just as memorable.

Discover lost worlds and hidden treasures in the heart of the Mayan empire. While Mexico is famous for Mayan civilization, you’ll find that Belize and Guatemala together is the true epicenter of Mayan history and culture. Although English is the official language, Belize has a diverse society composed of many cultures and languages that reflect its rich history. Situated on the eastern coast of Central America, Belize offers beautiful views of the Caribbean Sea and access to the second largest barrier reef in the world. After exploring a sacred Aztec cave system, dabbling in traditional pottery-making and tasty handmade tortillas, we set off for Guatemala to visit Tikal, a massive ancient Mayan ruin which is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site. After zip-lining our way through Guatemala, we’ll return to Belize to the small island of Ambergris Caye, the richest and most glamorous area of Belize to finish off our trip. There we have the opportunity to rest and relax, go to the spa, deep sea fish or snorkel/dive the Great Blue Hole, a giant submarine sinkhole off the coast of Belize and ranked #1 on Discovery Channel’s list of “The 10 Most Amazing Places on Earth” in 2012. As a bonus, this trek has the shortest travel time from Detroit compared to all the other treks so you can maximize your time exploring and minimize your time flying. This trip is equal parts adventure and rest, so prepare for an adventurous and relaxing getaway before the school year!

When we were planning this trip to Panama we had a few important requirements: (1) hard chilling (2) ample opportunities to Turn Down For What (3) beautiful beaches (4) our own version of Yatch Week and (5) a Tree House Hotel. While we couldn’t secure a Tree House Hotel (trust us, we tried), we have plenty of goodies lined up for Panama. Once we’re settled into Central American life, we’ll begin by spending 3 days island hopping across the magical San Blas Islands where there might be whales and dolphins, snorkeling, scuba diving, fishing, beach laying, and some serious boat partying. After returning to Panama City and exploring the historic town we’ll take a trip through the Panama Canal and spend a night dancing Salsa in one of the cities Cuba inspired night clubs. Because we don’t believe in wasting precious vacation time, we’ll rise early to flee to surfers paradise, Playa Venao where we’ll spend several days surfing, SUP-ping, kayaking, and hiking. Throughout your trip we guarantee nights of raging, dancing, and plenty of time getting to know your fellow Rossers. So, prepare yourself to be amazed, intoxicated and swept away on a magical trip to glorious Panama.
