Are you ready for a bold, spicy trip, with notes of salt, sand, and adventure?  We’re headed to Chile to experience the best the country has to offer! We’ll start in Santiago, exploring the city and the beautiful surrounding area. We’ll visit stunning wineries in the Maipo Valley, wander around “The Jewel of the Pacific”, Valparaiso, and do some more wine tasting in the Casablanca Valley before we head north, where adventure awaits in the Atacama desert! We’ll head to San Pedro de Atacama to soak in volcanic hot springs, take a quad buggy tour, hang out at a flamingo preserve, and do some late-night stargazing.  We’ll return to Santiago for one last dinner and night on the town before we head back to Ann Arbor.  If you’re looking for the perfect blend of adventure, relaxation, and quality time with your new MBA best friends, this is the trip for you!

There are MTreks. And then there is this MTrek.

Nightlife, we got it! Adventure, hell yeah! Beaches, you betcha! Hungover mornings, most likely! Weird theme nights, of course! Are you ready for the best nine days of your life? South Africa has so much to offer, we don’t even have to leave the country!

We’ll fly into Cape Town, set up shop and have several bright days and blacked out nights. You’ll experience the best of what the city has to offer while also stepping into the South African wine country or cable car-ing up Table Mountain, but no chairs allowed. Next we’ll jet off to the beautiful city of Durban, known for its beaches. Get ready to get barreled like Kelly Slater (or Johnny Tsunami for the less cultured of us) as we ride the waves of the Indian Ocean. We’ll end the trip being #safarinotsorry touring the Kruger National Reserve in all our Wild Thornberry’s glory. Maybe you’ll run into a shaman and get to talk to animals or that could be the excessive alcohol consumption talking.

Your trek leaders know each other from all walks of MBA life. Some met last year on an MTrek to Georgia and Azerbaijan (the coolest places nobody you know has ever been), a few are lucky enough to be in Section 4 – the best section, and then there’s Mejoy.

Join us and fully immerse yourself in the culture of two unique countries on two continents: Portugal and Morocco. If you’re interested in authentic local cuisine, wine tastings and tours, riding camels, or glamping in the desert, then this is the trip for you! You’ll be joined by a crew of fun-loving MBA2s who can’t wait to lead what will definitely be the best MTrek this year.

We’ll start off in northern Portugal in the colorful city of Porto, a great introduction to Portuguese history, art, and wine. After tasting several types of wine while overlooking incredible views of the Portuguese countryside, you’ll take a boat tour to see more incredible views of the valley and vineyards. After Porto, we’ll head to Lisbon, where you’ll take a walking tour with a focus on food, as well as the history and architecture of the city. In the evening, you’ll enjoy a boat party at sunset to round out your experience in Portugal with a beach day. Next up, we’ll kick off our stay in Marrakesh with a VIP club experience, followed by a tour of the medina the next day. After falling into food comas from yet another food tour, enjoy hammam massages at the local spa. Next, lace up your shoes for a hike through the beautiful Atlas mountains before we finish out the week with glamping in the desert, which wouldn’t be complete without a camel ride, private dinner, and open bar!

Congratulations! You’ve been accepted to business school and obviously made the correct choice to come to Ross! But let’s be honest, CONDOLENCES TO SIGNING UP FOR THE BEST DAMN TRIP OF YOUR LIFE. Why condolences you ask? Because you are about to embark on the most ridiculous excursion, to Lord knows where, with the absolute most unique, bomb AF group of high performing misfits, all of whom are veterans of mystery.

The infamous “Mystery Trek” is the ONLY MTrek where trekkers show up at the airport not knowing where they are going, and destinations are revealed as the trip progresses. If you are an “early to bed early to rise” kind of person, this might not be your trip. Your trek leaders boast the nearly biblical accomplishment of surviving Mystery 6.0: It’s 5 o’clock somewhere.

Life has given you two choices: 1) Be average and go somewhere average [any other trek where you know the destination] OR 2) Be a BOSS and join a long and venerated group of secretive individuals and make friends for the rest of your life. Clearly, there is only one correct answer here.

We feel like we shouldn’t have to sell mystery to you all, because this is the only MTrek that self selects people who love adventure, clurbing, and the unknown. If you like plastic chair restaurants, dive bars, and off the beaten path activities: this trip is for you. If you like five star hotels, a classic martini bar, and traveling first class, please call us back in 2080 when we’ve all paid off our student loans.

We’ll start in Mexico to discover the “cultural explosion”/diversity that Mexico City offers (and party), and then we’ll storm Belize for a lot of outdoor activities (and party some more). Do you like catamarans and other aquatic vessels?  How about sunshine and beach parties?  How about sunsets – do you like them?  How about the opportunity to join a wild pack of MBA 2 bandits?  If you answered yes to any of these questions, come join us on a Mediterranean island-hopping adventure that will feature boating, partying, and eating our way across islands, much like that time Telemachus went looking for his father, Odysseus. Our trip begins in the fun capital of the Greek Islands, Mykonos, where Hercules defeated those pesky Titans who were hiding in Mount Olympus. We’ll spend five days in Mykonos enjoying all its beauty and entertainment via ATVs and beach parties. Then we’ll ride Zeus’ lighting bolt to Cyprus, birthplace of Aphrodite and Adonis.  In Cyprus, we’ll spend six days cruising around on catamarans, exploring sea caves, swimming in the Mediterranean, and yes – more beach parties.  So if any of that sounds like fun, then hop on board!

Kick off your Ross journey with this breathtaking trip to some of Europe’s most beautiful cities. Whether you are a lover of art, architecture or just beer, this trip’s got it all. We’ll explore some of the biggest and best castles, gardens, cycle around the inner cities like the locals and have the best beer that Prague has to offer. We will also take in as much natural scenery as we can in each location. Did we mention the scenic road trips? Make sure you got some great stories for the way (not the Business + Impact challenge that you just won).

Want to be the only trekker who travels to two continents? Look no further than “Like a BOSS-phorus: boats, bazaars, and Black Sea ballin.” Our trip will have beaches, vineyards, mud baths, hiking, fascinating history and culture, drinking along previously mentioned beaches and more! We’ll start cruising down the picturesque Bosporus and explore Istanbul’s unmatched sites, including the Hagia Sophia, commonly regarded as “the eighth wonder of the world.” Woah. After, we’ll weave like the Orient Express through Bulgaria. Bulgaria, you ask? Bulgaria might not yet be a well-known destination (except for the mythical Durmstrang – ugh Olivia making us write Harry Potter references)…so here’s a preview of what is quickly becoming one of the most exciting places in Europe. And remember, you can’t put a price on saying “I went there BEFORE it was cool.” We will begin in Nessebar, a UNESCO Heritage Site with beaches along the Black, like our souls and humor, Sea. Next, we will venture to Plovdiv, recently honored the 2019 European Capital of Culture. Hype. The trip will end in Sofia, with a retreat to Mt. Vitosha for epic vistas. The battle for the best MTrek Instagram is an unspoken but very real phenomenon, start the year off on the right foot by asserting dominance over your classmates. Get ready to have the time of your life alongside some of Ross’ finest (and wisest?).
